About Us

Why a Taste of Haight?
Lets talk about the name, once upon a time not long ago the city of San Francisco was a place where people went to find themselves. The founder Jessica Belmonte spent her youth in the city as a teen run away and homeless young adult. While in the city she experienced many different things, but the most important thing she experienced was the kindness of strangers. Dispite the many people who have strong distaste for those that are houseless there are many kind, beautiful souls with many talents looking for opportunity.
Though the city has changed, the lives it has impacted are still fond of the memories that remain. Our ultimate goal, is to have a collaboration with the city to help the community, not only the houseless but the artists, the stores, and the music community. Though many of us cannot afford the city anymore with rising prices, we have hope to one day return to the city and return to Haight, for now as a temporary art collaboration that helps the community and with hopes of eventually having a storefront one day. For now we cater to the digital realm and feature artists from all over Northern California that have been inspired by the beauty of the historical movements California has made. For without those before us that paved the way, the ones that made the love movement, the movers and shakers, we wouldn't be who we are or where we are today.
If anyone is interested in collaboration please feel free to contact us, it's our goal, our dream. Because when we work together, we can make dreams come true.

Taste of Haight was founded in 2015 by Jessica Belmonte after Graduating with an AA in Fashion Merchandising and obtaining several business related certifications. After the 2020 pandemic Taste of Haight was brought to life to help not only Artists to collaborate on mixed media platforms but help houseless persons get back on their feet.
